Built from licensed stock photography and multiple custom compositing elements, the image investigates the interaction between heat, fractured surfaces, and fire as both a visual and narrative device.

Process
The base portrait was transformed through layered compositing techniques combining cracked stone textures, flame plates, embers, and controlled lighting passes. Surface fractures were mapped to the facial structure to maintain anatomical realism while introducing glowing fissures that suggest internal heat. Fire elements were integrated as both environmental effects and active light sources influencing skin tone, hair highlights, and shadow falloff.
